Matilda Wilson 1844 to 1883 married to Thomas Silk

Matilda Wilson was the youngest child of Elizabeth and Job Wilson. She was born in Kurrajong in 1844 and died in Gladesville on January 1, 1883. 

Matilda married Thomas Silk on March 13, 1862 in Richmond. Thomas was born in Richmond on June 18, 1837 and died on March 22, 1903. He was buried at Rookwood cemetery.

Matilda and Thomas had 9 children.

George Turner Junior 1830 - 1906 married Sarah Mitchell

George Turner Jnr was the fifth child of Mary Rogers and George Turner.  He was born in North Richmond in 1830 and died in Richmond in 1906. 

 George married Sarah Mitchell in Kurrajong in 1854. They had eleven children.

Job Wilson 1858 to 1902 married Sarah Wilson

Job Wilson Jnr, was the son of Timothy Wilson and Elizabeth Riley. He was born in Kurrajong in 1858 and died in North Sydney in 1902. He married a cousin, Sarah Matilda Wilson. 

Sarah was the daughter of Thomas and Hannah Wilson. Job and Sarah were married in Kurrajong in 1877.

They had 13 children.

1. Cecil (1877 -?) married Muriel Atkinson. They had three children.

2. Peter Robert (1879 - 1931) married Eunice Stratford. They had four children.

3. Lillian Marie (1880 - 1969) married Robert John Silk. They had children.

4. Grace Syliva (1882 - 1882) died as an infant.

5. Eliud Thomas (1883 - 1967) married Barbara Lewis. They had nine children.

6. Constance Hannah (1885 - 1926) married Thomas Gavin. They had three children.

7. Elsie May (1887 - 1894) died as a child.

8. Alma Elizabeth (1889 - 1902) died as a child.

9. Bernice Evelyn (1891 - 1982) married Thomas Brown. They had five children.

Ellen Matilda Hawkins 1865 - 1925 married John Wilson and George Wilson

Ellen Matilda Hawkins was the fifth child of Susan Wilson and Joseph Hawkins. She was born at Kurrajong in 1865 and died in 1925 at her home in Westmead. She is buried in Rookwood Cemetery as Helen Wilson.  

Ellen was married twice. She married John Wilson (1854 -1899) in 1885.

John had previously been married to her older sister Margaret. When Margaret died young, Ellen married John and reared his and Margaret's two daughters (Priscilla and Amelia) as her own. With John, Elsie had 8 children.

Following John's death in 1899 from Typhoid, Ellen married George Henry Wilson (1871 - 1959). She had two children from this marriage. 

1. Daisy Miriam 1901 - 1976 married George Quartermain in 1923. Charles died in 1947. 

2. Brinsley Bruce Septimus 1903 - 1972 married Beryl Wilson (descendant of Edward Wilson and Emily Jane Hurst) in 1934 at Richmond. 

Sarah Matilda Silk 1863 to 1910 married Lawson Pearce

Sarah Matilda Silk was the third child of Jessie Wilson and Henry Silk. She was born in Richmond in 1863 and died there in 1910. In 1897 Sarah married Lawson Pearce.

They had three children.

1. Foncie Doris 1894 - 1967. Married Richard Edward Wilson.

2. William Henry Leslie 1898 - 1918. Died in France in World War 1.

Thomas John Silk was the second child of Matilda Wilson and Thomas Silk. He was born in Richmond in 1863 in Richmond and died in Windsor in 1937. Thomas did not marry.

James Silk 1865 to 1890

James Silk was the fourth child of Matilda Wilson and Thomas Silk. He was born in Richmond in 1865 and died single in 1890 in Windsor.

James Silk was the third child of Matilda Wilson and Thomas Silk. He was born in Richmond in 1864 and died there three weeks later.

Richard John Silk 1867 to 1929

Richard John Silk was the fifth child of Matilda Wilson and Thomas Silk. He was born in Richmond in 1867. He died in Dubbo in 1929. Richard was married twice. First to Mary Ann Woods (married in Narromine in 1899) and then Esther Stephens.

Richard fathered three children:

Sarah Silk was the six child of Matilda Wilson and Thomas Silk. She was born in Richmond in 1869. It's not known if she married or if she married.

Mary Ann Silk 1871 to ?

Mary Ann Silk was the seventh child of Matilda Wilson and Thomas Silk. She was born in Richmond in 1871. It is not known when she died.

Mary Anne had one child.

Edward Silk was the ninth child of Matilda Wilson and Thomas Silk. He was born in Richmond in 1875 and died in Narromine in 1916. In 1902 Edward married Emma Woods.

They had two children.

1. Francis Edward 1904 - 1954. Married Ada Austin in 1925. They had four children.

Robert John Silk 1873 to 1945 married Lillian Wilson.

Robert John Silk was the eighth child of Matilda Wilson and Thomas Silk. He was born in Richmond in 1873 and died there in 1945. He married Lillian Maria Wilson in 1897.

They had eight children.

1. Irene Alma 1898 - 1962. Married Osmond Cyril Goddard in 1919. They had nine children.

2. Hilmer Cloydon 1901 - 1958. Married Kathleen Bell in 1927. They had two children.

3. Stanley Wilfred 1904 - ?

4. Eric Stanley 1906 - 1976. Married Dora Hopkins in 1930. They had ten children.

Matilda Turner was the first child of Thomas Turner and Elizabeth Bayliss. She was born in Kurrajong in 1846 and died in Rystone in 1925. Matilda married twice. First to Thomas Hatton and then to Charles Salmon in 1878. She had 8 children.

Matilda Turner 1867-1869

 Matilda Turner was the sixth child of George Turner and Sarah Mitchell. She was born in 1867 and died in 1869 aged two.
