George Turner Junior 1830 - 1906 married Sarah Mitchell

George Turner Jnr was the fifth child of Mary Rogers and George Turner.  He was born in North Richmond in 1830 and died in Richmond in 1906. 

 George married Sarah Mitchell in Kurrajong in 1854. They had eleven children.

Lawson Wilson 1866 - 1953 married Margaret Mitchell

Lawson Wilson was the seventh child of John Wilson and Catherine Barwick. He was born in Kurrajong in 1866 and died in Windsor in 1953. He married Margaret Mitchell in 1892 and they had eight children. They lived the majority of their married life in Schofields. 

It appears that Lawson and Margaret's union was not approved of by her mother Charlotte as she was under the age of 21. A court case ensued - read this article - but love prevailed.

An article were he appears as a witness in a case against his coursin Joseph Hawkins can be read here. Lawson and Margaret's first son Robert Leslie fought in World War 1 as mentioned here. This article also mentions that three of Lawson and Margaret's sons were killed in World War 1.

William Brooks 1846 to 1910 married Rosetta Mitchell

William Brooks was the second child of Ann Turner and Squire Brooks. He was born in 1846 and died in Windsor in 1910. He married Rosetta Mitchell (daughter of Edward and Elizabeth Mitchell) in 1882 at Windsor.

Unfortunately, William died in a terrible accident in Windsor when he was carting coal. In the days before the accident, he had been buried up to his arm pits while digging a grave at St Matthews Windsor and rescued!! You can read about William here and also, this article here

Rosetta died in 1915 aged 69. You can read her obituary here. Rosetta had previously been married to William Seymour (1863).

William Turner 1859 to 1921 married Sophia Arnold

William Turner was the third child of George Turner Junior and Sarah Mitchell. He was born in 1859 and died in 1921. He married Sophia Arnold in Windsor in 1887. 

Sophia died in 1908 at the age of 42 from blood poisoning after she had a thorn in her hand. She is buried at St Matthews Anglican Church in Windsor.

William and Sophia had seven children. 

1. William J 1889 - 1914 married Emily Hand. Died aged 24 and is buried at St Matthews in Windsor.
