Job Wilson 1821 to 1873 married Mary Green & Sarah Douglas

Job Wilson, son of Elizabeth and Job Wilson was born on June 29 in 1821. He died at Mudgee in 1873. 

Job had defacto relationships with Mary Green (nee Sherwood) and Sarah Douglas. Mary Green was born Mary Sherwood on January 18, 1813, and died in 1881. Sarah Douglas was born around 1829 in Richmond, but her date of death is unknown.

Job had 7 children with Mary Green and 3 with Sarah Douglas.

Thomas Wilson 1835 to 1901 married to Hannah Douglass

Thomas Wilson was born to Elizabeth and Job Wilson at Kurrajong on July 10, 1835. He married Hannah Douglass on December 17,1857 at Richmond. 

Thomas died in January 1901 and is buried at St Stephens Church Kurrajong. His daughters placed a memorial for him in the 1901 Windsor and Richmond Gazette (here). Probate for his estate is advertised here.

Hannah died in Kurrajong on December 8, 1928 (her newspaper obituary can be read here.


Thomas and Hannah had five children.

1. Sarah Matilda 1859 to 1940 (married to her cousin Job Wilson in 1877 at Kurrajong)

2. Thomas John 1860 to 1862 (died as a child)

3. Elizabeth Ann 1863 to ?? (married Frederick Charles Stratford in 1885 at Richmond)

4. Edward Thomas 1865 to 1932 (married to Emily Jane Hurst) They had seven children. You can read an article about Edward here.

Sarah Wilson 1848 to 1915 married William Hennessey

Sarah Wilson (1848 - 1915) was born in Kurrajong to Job Wilson Jnr and Mary Green. In 1863 she married her cousin, William Hennessey. She died in Orange, NSW.

Sarah and William had ten children.

1. Mary Ann (1864 - 1869) born and died in Kurrajong
2. Selina Sarah (1867 - ?) married William Sanderson in Sydney in 1890. Had at least two children.
3. Infant son (1869 - 1869)
4. James (1872 - 1940). James was born in Orange, NSW and married Mary O'Neil. They had at least four children.
5. Ernest (1874 - ?) married Selina Power. They had at least six children.
6. Stella (1876 -?) married Peter Grenfell. They had at least two children.
7. Leslie (1880 - 1930) married Edith King. They had at least three children.
8. William Hector (1882 - 1947) married Ada Scarr. They had at least nine children.
9. Ethel (1885 -?) married James Livingstone. They had one child.
10. Amy Elsie (1889 - 1971) married David Buesnel. No children.

Job Wisbey Wilson 1867 to 1935 married Alice Hennessey

Job Wisbey Wilson was the fifth child of Thomas Wilson and Hannah Douglass. He was born in Kurrajong in 1867 and died there in 1935. Job married Alice Hennessey, descendant of Thomas Hennessey and Phoebe Wilson in 1896. A newspaper obituary can be read here

They had five children.

1. Maggie Doris 1897 - 1955 married George William Case. They had two children.

2. Michael Thomas 1898 - 1955. (known as Mick. He is buried at St Stephen's Kurrajong, see headstone below.)

3. Hannah Doreen 1900 - 1967 married Darcy Edwin Upton in 1918.

4. Alma Alice 1904 - ? married Michael Tierney in 1927 and Mr Preston.

5. Alice Edna 1910 - 1942 married Mr Laffy. Alice died tragically at the age of 31. See newspaper story about her death. Alice is listed on the headstone below.
