Jane Wilson 1838 to 1892 married to Daniel Neal

Jane Wilson was born to Elizabeth and Job Wilson at Kurrajong in 1838. She married Daniel Neal on June 18, 1856 at Richmond. Jane died in Ourimbah on the Central Coast on October 20, 1892.  I am not sure when Jane, Daniel and their family moved to the Central Coast. The earliest mention I have found is from their daughter's marriage date of 1884.

Daniel died in 1896 following a fight in Ourimbah. Newspaper articles about this event can be read here and here. It appears that the person who hit Daniel, was James Moran, who was the father of Daniel's daughter in law Elizabeth Moran. More details about the inquest can be read here. Jane and Daniel had 7 children. Unfortunately, only two children lived to adulthood.

Jessie Wilson 1840 to 1905 married to Henry Silk & Charles Reynolds

Jessie Wilson was born to Elizabeth and Job Wilson in Kurrajong on November 11, 1840. She married Henry Silk on January 1, 1858, at Richmond.

Henry Silk was born on May 19, 1835, in Richmond and died on March 22, 1912, in Windsor. Jessie later partnered with Charles Reynolds, who died on December 26, 1888, in Orange.

Jessie and Henry Silk had 6 children. Jessie and Charles Reynolds had 6 children.

Thomas Turner 1824 to 1878 married to Elizabeth Bayliss & Mary Ann Cooper

Thomas Turner was born to Mary and George Turner at North Richmond on December 23, 1824. He married Elizabeth Bayliss on December 29, 1845, at Richmond. 

Thomas's second wife was Mary Ann Cooper (cousin of Elizabeth). Thomas and Mary Ann were married at Rylstone on September 15, 1862.

Thomas and Elizabeth had eight children.

1. Matilda 1846 to 1927 (married to Thomas Hatton in 1876 at Rylstone) & (married to Charles Salmon in 1878 at Rylstone).

Elizabeth Turner 1834 to 1878 married to Michael Tierney

Elizabeth Turner was born to Mary and George Turner on December 1, 1834, at North Richmond. She married Michael Tierney on December 12, 1851, at Richmond.

Michael was the son of Owen and Mary Tierney. Elizabeth died at Kurrajong on May 21, 1878, and Michael died at Windsor on July 27, 1883. Elizabeth died of Typhoid as did her son George. You can read about the wave which infected the Hawkesbury in 1878 here.

Elizabeth BARWICK 1822 to 1900 married to Samuel Hurst

Elizabeth Barwick was born to Charlotte and John Barwick on December 8, 1822 and died on May 7, 1900 at Kurrajong. Elizabeth is buried at St Stephen's Anglican Church in Kurrajong. She married Samuel Hurst on May 11, 1837.


Elizabeth and Samuel had twelve children.

Harriett Barwick was born to Charlotte and John Barwick in Kurrajong on August 16, 1831. She died at Kurrajong on September 12, 1861. Harriett married William Giddins at Richmond on March 26, 1849. Harriet and William are buried at St Stephen's Anglican Church Kurrajong.

Harriett and William had 16 children.

Sophia Barwick was born to Charlotte and John Barwick at Kurrajong on June 26, 1841. She died at Kensington on May 14, 1933. Sophia married Dennis Hanley in 1869.

Sophia and Dennis had nine children. All known as HANDLEY.

Henry Davis was the sixth son of Elizabeth Wilson and George Davis. He was born at Kurrajong, NSW in 1850 and died in 1927. Henry married Ellen Agland.

Anne Jane Silk was the first child of Jessie Wilson and Henry Silk. She was born in Richmond in 1859 and died there in 1904. She married John Thomas Richardson in 1890.

Together they had ten children.

1. Jessie May 1879 - 1905 married William Dench in 1899. They had two children.

2. Albert Edward Henry 1883 - 1938 married Catherine Lalor. Three children.

3. George Norman Frederick 1885 - 1886.

4. Evelyn Maude Beldon 1886 - 1966 married Joseph Cannan. Three children.

5. Cecil William 1889 - 1957 married Florence Picaud. They had two children.

6. Percy Roland 1890 - 1916. Killed in France during World War 1.

7. Alma Gertrude 1892 - 1973 married Edward Wearne.

8. Nelson Arthur 1894 - ? did not marry.

9. Ivy Gladys 1896 - 1946 married Raymond Dick in 1916. They had four children.

Thomas  Silk was the second child of Jessie Wilson and Henry Silk. He was born in Richmond in 1861 and died there in 1863. 

George Albert Silk 1864 to 1952 married Amy Clough

George Albert Silk was the fourth child of Jessie Wilson and Henry Silk. He was born in Richmond in 1864 and died in Windsor in 1952.

He married Amy Clough in 1889, and they had nine children.

1. Amy 1889 - 1969 married Alexander Ford. They had two children.

2. George Albert 1890 - 1924 married Adele Lillian Packer in 1913. They had six children.

3. Norman Darcy 1893 - 1979 married Nita Smith in 1915. They had four children.

4. Beatrice May 1895 - 1974 married William Alfred Dunn in 1917. They had three children.

5. Reuben Henry 1898 - 1918. Killed in France, World War 1.

Maude Mary Silk was the sixth child of Jessie Wilson and Henry Silk. She was born in Richmond in 1867 and died in Peak Hill in 1898. She married James Denham in 1897.

John Silk (aka John Reynolds) 1873 to 1927 married Florence Dunsmore

John Silk was the eight child of Jessie Wilson and Henry Silk. He was born in 1873 and died in Dubbo in 1927. John married Florence Dunsmore in 1904.

John later changed his name to Reynolds after his mother married Charles Reynolds. He and Florence had five children.

3. Noel Henry John 1910 - 1974. Married Edith FitzPatrick. They had eight children.

William Henry Silk was the fifth child of Jessie Wilson and Henry Silk. He was born in Richmond in 1862 and died in Gilgandra in 1927. He married Elizabeth Ward in 1897.

Henry Turner 1847 to 1934 married Hannah Baker

Henry Turner was the second child and first son of Thomas Turner and Elizabeth Bayliss. He was born in Kurrajong in 1847 and died in Rylstone in 1934. In 1878 Henry married Hannah Amelia Baker. They had eleven children.

 Mary Jane Turner was born in 1861 in Richmond. She was the daughter of George Turner Junior and his wife Sarah Mitchell. In 1887 Mary married Henry London in Richmond.

Henry Tierney was born in 1860, the fourth child of Elizabeth Turney and Michael Tierney. The exact year of his death has not been verified, however there was a Henry Tierney who died in Carcoar in 1878. 

Henry Giddins 1850 to 1929 married Mary ?

Henry Giddins was the second child of Harriett Barwick and William Giddins. He was born in Kurrajong in 1850 and died in Warren in 1929. Henry partnered with Mary ?

Emily Handley was the third child of Sophia Barwick and Denis Handley. Emily was born in Kurrajong in 1873 and died in 1943 at Redfern. Emily married Henry (Harry) Bell in Richmond in 1892. They had four children.
