Thomas Turner was born to Mary and George Turner at North Richmond on December 23, 1824. He married Elizabeth Bayliss on December 29, 1845, at Richmond. 

Thomas's second wife was Mary Ann Cooper (cousin of Elizabeth). Thomas and Mary Ann were married at Rylstone on September 15, 1862.

Thomas and Elizabeth had eight children.

Emma Barwick 1840 to 1913 married to Francis Skinner

Emma Barwick was to born to Charlotte and John Barwick at Kurrajong on November 1, 1840. She died at Mudgee on November 6, 1913. Emma married Francis Skinner in October 1857 at Richmond.

Emma and Francis had twelve children.

Susan Turner 1859 to 1928 married John Cooper

Susan Ann Turner was the sixth child of Thomas Turner and Elizabeth Bayliss. She was born in 1859 in Rylstone and died in Berrima in 1928. She married John Cooper in 1878. They had nine children.

1. Thomas John 1879 - 1942. Married Mabel Christmann. They had two children.

2. William Norton 1882 - 1962. Married Ella Ford. They had four children.

George Turner 1863 -1950 married Elizabeth Mason

George Turner was the first child of Thomas Turner and Mary Ann Cooper. Thomas's first wife Elizabeth Bayliss died in Rylstone in 1861. Thomas married Mary Ann Cooper in 1862. Mary Ann was the daughter of Thomas Cooper and Emma Rollinson. Mary was born in 1844 in Kurrajong and died in Rylstone in 1924. She and Thomas had eight children. 

George was born in Rylstone in 1863 and died in Coolah in 1950. He married Elizabeth Mason in 1888. They had eight children.

William Turner 1865 - 1933 married Mary Louisa Dean

William Turner was the second child of Thomas Turner and Mary Ann Cooper.  William was born in Rylstone in 1865 and died in Muswellbrook in 1933. He married Mary Louisa Dean in 1885. They had ten children.

1. Ida Lillian 1887 -1979 Married Arthur Folpp. They had six children.

2. Susan Beatrice 1889 - 1974 Married Charles Easter. They had six children.

3. Lois Ethel 1891 -1973 Married George Folpp. They had ten children.

4. Wilhimena Louie 1894 -1979 Married Claude Stair. They had at least one child.

5. Emily Gladys 1896 -1982 Married William Gageler. They had three children.

Rebecca Jane Turner was the third child of Thomas Turner and Mary Ann Cooper. She was born in Rylstone in 1867 and died in Narromine in 1949. Rebecca married John Warman in 1886 and they had eleven children.

1. Walter Percy 1887 -1940 Married Carletta Passey. They had two children.

2. William Ernest 1888 -1971 Married Mary Goddard. They had nine children.

3. Percy John 1890 - 1958 Married Eliza Bashford. They had four children.

4. Elsie May 1892 -1967 Married James Mostyn (two children) and Thomas Tremble. 

5. Roy Harold 1894 -1974 Married Nina Blackwood. They had four children.

6. Alma Lillian 1895 - 1912 Did not marry.

7. Oscar 1898 - 1978 Married Hilda Herring (three children) and Joan Donnelly (four children)

John Turner was the fourth child of Thomas Turner and Mary Ann Cooper.  John Turner was born in Rylstone in 1869 and died there in 1958. He married Vera Anthes in 1910. They had six children.

1. Victor Leonard 1910 -? Married Dorothy Delphi. They had two children.

2. John 1912 -1977 Married Jean Turner. They had four sons.

3. Harold 1915 -1965 Married Phyllis Kenny. They had one child.

4. Daphne May 1918 - ? Married Sidney Cornish. They had three children.

Herbert Charles Turner 1873 -1949 married Ethel Watts Douglas

Herbert Charles Turner was the sixth child of Thomas Turner and Mary Ann Cooper. There may have been an unnamed child before him in 1872. 

Herbert was born in 1873 in Rylstone and died there in 1949. He married Ethel Douglas (nee Watts). They had four children.

Ada May Turner 1875 to 1962 married Patrick Halpin.

Ada May Turner was the seventh child of Thomas Turner and Mary Ann Cooper. Ada was born in Rylstone in 1875 and died there in 1962. She married Patrick Halpin in 1897. They had ten children.

Walter Turner 1878 -1958 married Sarah Jones and Amelia Bratwright

Walter Turner was the eighth child of Thomas Turner and Mary Ann Cooper.  He was born in 1878 in Rylstone and died in Sydney in 1958. He married Sarah Jones in 1902 and Amelia Bratwright in 1942.  He had no children.

Francis Skinner 1858 to 1936 married Alice Cooper

Francis Skinner was the first child of Emma Barwick and Francis Skinner senior. He was born in Richmond in 1858 and died in Sydney. Francis married Alice Cooper in Rylstone in 1882. You can read Francis's obituary here. Francis and Alice had seven children.

2. Stanley Francis 1885 -1950. Married Elizabeth Peake. They had five children.
