Catherine Barwick 1835 to 1908 married to John Wilson

Catherine Barwick was the daughter of Charlotte Rogers & John Barwick. She was born on May 1,1835 at North Richmond. Catherine died on March 6, 1908 - read her newspaper obituary here. 

Catherine married her cousin John Wilson (son of Elizabeth and Job Wilson) on November 30,1870 in Richmond. John died in 1916.

Catherine and John are buried at St Stephens Church of England in Kurrajong. 

Catherine and John had 12 children.

1. John 1854 to 1899 (married Margaret Jane Hawkins in 1878. Margaret died in 1882) & (married to Ellen Matilda Hawkins in 1885). Margaret & Ellen were sisters, and also John's cousins as their parents were Susan Wilson and Joseph Hawkins.

2. Mary Jane 1856 to 1888 (single) Mary is buried near her parents (see her headstone below).

3. Louisa Ann 1858 to ? (married to Levi Greenyer. No issue)

4. Ellen 1861 to 1862 (died as a baby)

Mary Ann Wilson 1843 to 1919 married James Davis

Mary Ann was the first child of Simeon Wilson and Elizabeth Horan. She was born at Kurrajong in 1843 and died there in 1919. Mary Ann married James Davis in 1871. James was the son of George Davis and Elizabeth Wilson and therefore her second cousin.

Mary Ann and James had 11 children.

1. Amelia 1862 - 1863

2. William 1864 - 1934 married Susannah Maria Wilson. 

3. Louisa 1867 - 1952 married Sydney Hearne. No issue but raised some of son Henry's children. Owned the house on the corner of Hermitage Road and Bells Line of Road.

4. Henry 1869 - 1948 married Teresa Blundell. They had three children. Henry's death notice can be read here.

5. Clara 1871 - 1940 married James Davis. No children.

6. James 1875 - 1947 married Sarah Riley. They had six children.

7. Mary Ann 1876 - ?

8. Rachel 1877 - 1878

9. Mary May 1879 -1944 married Walter Wilson. Walter was the son of Simeon Wilson and Annie Hatwell. Therefore a distant relative of Mary.

10. Lawson 1882 - 1917 married Ethel Clarke. Lawson died of wounds in the First World War and is buried in France. He had three children.

11. Florence Elizabeth 1885 - 1886

James Davis 1842 to 1928 married to Mary Ann Wilson

James Davis was the second son of Elizabeth Wilson and George Davis. He was born at Colo, NSW in 1842 and died in Kurrajong, NSW 1928. You can read his obituary here.

He married Mary Ann Wilson in 1871. Mary Ann was the first child of Simeon Wilson and Elizabeth Horan. She was born at Kurrajong in 1843 and died there in 1919.

James and Mary Ann had eleven children.

3. Louisa 1867 - 1952 married Sydney Alfred Hearne. Louisa live in the house on the corner of Hermitage Road and Bells Line of Road. No children but did look after her brother's children. Louisa was incredibly well known in the Hawkesbury.

4. Henry 1869 - 1948 married Teresa Blundell. They had four children.

5. Clara 1871 - 1940 married James Davis. No issue. You can read Clara's obituary here.

Louisa Davis 1857 to 1883 married William Coppock

Louisa Davis was born in Kurrajong, NSW in 1857; the ninth child of Elizabeth Wilson and George Davis. She married William Henry Coppock in 1876 and she died at Forest Reef, NSW in 1883.

Louisa and William had three children.

1. Louisa 1877 - 1889.

2. Mary 1878 - ? married Joseph Harris.

3. Lawson 1879 - 1941 married Minnie Brien. They had three children.

Louisa Wilson 1858 - 1927 married to Levi Greenyer

Louisa Wilson was the third child of John Wilson and Catherine Barwick.  She was born in Kurrajong in 1858. She married Levi Greenyer in 1891. It is believed she died in 1927 and had no children.

Susannah Overton 1847 to1899 married John Shepherd

Susannah Overton was the second daughter of Mary Turner and James Overton. She was born in Kurrajong in 1847 and died there in 1899. She is buried in North Richmond. Susannah married John Shepherd in 1870. They had 11 children.

2. James 1871 - 1952. Married Agnes Annie Mitchell. They had two children. 

3. John Henry 1873 - 1953. Married Harriett Yates. They had seven children.

4. Henry 1875 -1950. Married Alice London and Elizabeth Arnold. Had six children.

5. Rouland 1878 - 1940. Married Izetta Hulbert (nee Alcorn) They had six children.

6. Edith 1881 - 1930. Married Ernest Robert Mitchell. They had nine children.

7. Herbert 1883 - 1956. Married Elsie Grace London. They had three children.

8. Willow 1885-1967. Married Elsie Mabel Johnston. They had nine children.

9. Victor 1887 -1936. Married Elizabeth Greenfield and Ila Murray. Had four children.

10. Minnie 1890 -1913. Married Percy Scott.  They had seven children.

11. Harvey Maurice 1892 - 1965 Married Laura Sonter. They had nine children.

Louisa Hurst 1849 to 1932 married James Douglass

Louisa Hurst was the seventh child of Elizabeth Barwick and Samuel Hurst Senior. Louisa was born in 1849 in Kurrajong. She married James Douglass in 1871 in North Richmond and died there in 1932. Louisa and James had thirteen children. They lived at Wheeny Creek, Redbank Creek and Netley Hill before living at ''Carlhurst'' in Crooked Lane North Richmond.

1. Ada 1873 -1961. Married Frederick Brown. They had five children.

2. James 1874 -1952. Married Ethel Wilson. They had ten children.

3. Burtrus 1875 - 1987. Married John Parker and Thomas Merrick. 

4. Burgess 1878 - 1962. Married Gertrude Richardson. They had two children.

5. Donald 1880 - 1945. Married Jessie Richardson. 

6. Claude 1882 - 1916. Died WW1.

7. Hilda 1882 - 1964 Married Fitzwilliam Mortimer. They had three children.

8. William 1884 - 1941. Married Nettie Horan. They had three children.

9. Walter 1886 - 1955. Married Mary Lavender. They had one child.

10. Clara 1888 - 1976. Married John Armstrong.

11. Whynn 1890 - ? Married Evelyn Hayne

12. Gladys Sylvia 1893 - 1961 Married Rudolph Hayman
