Ann Turner 1827 to 1840s married to Squire Brooks

Ann Turner was born to Mary and George Turner on April 7, 1827 at North Richmond. She died sometime in the 1840s however, in what place is unknown. 

Ann married Squire Brooks on July 10 1844 at Richmond. Squire Brooks was born in 1794 in Lancashire, England. He was transported to Sydney on the Morely II. In the 1828 census, he was listed as a labourer at North Richmond. 

Squire was granted a ticket of leave around the same time. He died at Richmond on January 23.

Ann and Squire had two children.

1. Mary Ann 1843 to 1848 (died as a child)
2. William 1846 to 1910 (married Rosetta Mitchell in 1882).

Mary Ann Brooks 1843 to 1848

Mary Ann Brooks was the first child of Ann Turner and Squire Brooks. She died at the age of 6 years.

William Brooks 1846 to 1910 married Rosetta Mitchell

William Brooks was the second child of Ann Turner and Squire Brooks. He was born in 1846 and died in Windsor in 1910. He married Rosetta Mitchell (daughter of Edward and Elizabeth Mitchell) in 1882 at Windsor.

Unfortunately, William died in a terrible accident in Windsor when he was carting coal. In the days before the accident, he had been buried up to his arm pits while digging a grave at St Matthews Windsor and rescued!! You can read about William here and also, this article here

Rosetta died in 1915 aged 69. You can read her obituary here. Rosetta had previously been married to William Seymour (1863).
