Simeon Wilson 1818 to 1902 married to Elizabeth Riley/Horan

Simeon Wilson was born to Elizabeth and Job Wilson in August 1818 at Toongabbie. He died on May 9 1902 at Kurrajong. In 1842, Simeon married Elizabeth Riley aka Horan (died 1886) at Pitt Town.

Mary Ann Wilson 1843 to 1919 married James Davis

Mary Ann was the first child of Simeon Wilson and Elizabeth Horan. She was born at Kurrajong in 1843 and died there in 1919. Mary Ann married James Davis in 1871. James was the son of George Davis and Elizabeth Wilson and therefore her second cousin.

Mary Ann and James had 11 children.

1. Amelia 1862 - 1863

2. William 1864 - 1934 married Susannah Maria Wilson. 

3. Louisa 1867 - 1952 married Sydney Hearne. No issue but raised some of son Henry's children. Owned the house on the corner of Hermitage Road and Bells Line of Road.

4. Henry 1869 - 1948 married Teresa Blundell. They had three children. Henry's death notice can be read here.

5. Clara 1871 - 1940 married James Davis. No children.

6. James 1875 - 1947 married Sarah Riley. They had six children.

7. Mary Ann 1876 - ?

8. Rachel 1877 - 1878

9. Mary May 1879 -1944 married Walter Wilson. Walter was the son of Simeon Wilson and Annie Hatwell. Therefore a distant relative of Mary.

10. Lawson 1882 - 1917 married Ethel Clarke. Lawson died of wounds in the First World War and is buried in France. He had three children.

John Wilson 1845 to 1921 married Elizabeth Lane

John Wilson was born at Kurrajong, NSW in 1845. He was the first son and second child of Simeon Wilson and Elizabeth Horan. John died in 1921 in Manildra, NSW. You can read this lovely obituary about John here.

John married Elizabeth Lane (daughter of Hannah (Anne) Hawkins and John Lane) in 1869 in Kurrajong. Elizabeth was the grand daughter of convict David Hawkins who owned the 50 acre property ''Timberinga'' next door to the Wilson family. 

Elizabeth died in 1925 in Manildra. Both John and Elizabeth are buried in Cudal.

9. Elsie Louisa 1887 - 1930 married Walter Barwick. Walter was a son of William Barwick and Susan Wilson and therefore a distant relative.

10. Isaac Bruce 1890 - 1952 married Lyla Barwick. Lyla was the daughter of William Barwick and Susan Wilson and therefore a distant relative.

11. Eliza Pearl 1892 - 1957 married Jack Hanrahan. They had eight children.

12. Eva Ellen 1897 - 1928 married William Archibald Coomber. They had two children.

Elizabeth Jane Wilson 1848 to 1918 married George Wilson & John Leeming

Elizabeth Jane Wilson was the third child of Simeon Wilson and Elizabeth Horan/Riley. She born in 1848 at Kurrajong. She partnered with George Wilson (no relation) and then John Lemming. Elizabeth died in Denman, NSW in 1918.

Elizabeth and George had nine children.

1. Georgina 1865 -1887 married George Day. No issue.

2. Lavinia Jane 1867 -1943 married George Marsh. They had seven children.

3. Amelia 1868 - ? married Frederick Duffin. They had nine children.

4. Mary Ann 1872 - 1953 married William Ferguson. They had three children.

5. William Frederick 1873 - 1958 married Gertrude Brown. They had seven children.

6. George A 1875 - 1955 married Alice Brown. They had at least one child.

7. Charles Albert 1877 - 1941 married Ethel Griffith. 

8. Francis Jane 1879 - 1959 married William Wells. They had five children.

9. Henry John  1881 - 1950 married Mary Lawrence. They had three children.

Sarah Wilson 1850 to 1934 married to John Davis

Sarah Wilson was the fourth child of Simeon Wilson and Elizabeth Horan. She was born at Kurrajong, NSW in 1850 and died at Cargo, NSW in 1934. 

In 1869 she married her distant cousin John Davis in Richmond, NSW.

Sarah and John had 12 children.

1. Ada 1870 - 1952. Did not marry.

2. Ellen 1872 - 1901 married Arthur Thomas Baker. Had at least one child.

3. John 1874 - 1955 married Catherine Fleidner and Mary Price.

4. Clement 1876 - 1935 married Sarah Fleidner.

5. Thomas Henry 1878 - 1949. Did not marry.

6. Alice Sarah 1880 - 1951 married Arthur Hurkett.

7. Rachel 1882 - 1968 married John Sharp.

8. Undine 1885 - 1966 married Stephen Fleidner.

9. Walter Ernest 1887 - 1955 married Elizabeth Baker.

10. Reuben 1889 - 1948 married Ruby Price.

Phoebe Wilson 1852 - 1852

Phoebe Wilson was the fifth child of Simeon Wilson and Elizabeth Horan. She was born at Kurrajong, NSW in 1852 and died there as a week old baby.

Simeon Wilson Jnr 1853 to 1930 married Ann Hatwell

Simeon Wilson Jnr was born at Kurrajong, NSW in 1853. He was the sixth child of Simeon Wilson and Elizabeth Horan. Simeon married Ann Hatwell in 1876 at Kurrajong Heights. He died at Manildra, NSW in 1930.

Simeon and Ann had six children.

1. Harriett Mary 1877 - 1963 married Arthur Peck. They had five children.

2. William John 1878 - ? married Louisa Sharpless. They had at least one child.

3. Sarah Jane 1879 - ? Sarah had at least two children.

4. Ernest Simeon 1883 - 1940 married Ethol Aston. They had two children.

5. Walter 1888 - 1961 married Mary May Davis. They had five children.

6. Susannah 1892 - ? married James Fahey. They had seven children.

Susan Adelaide Wilson 1855 to 1936 married William Barwick

Susan Adelaide Wilson was the seventh child of Simeon Wilson and Elizabeth Horan. She was born at Kurrajong, NSW in 1855 and died in 1936 at Dubbo, NSW. She married a distant relative, William Barwick at North Richmond, NSW in 1878.

Susan and William had children.

1. Walter 1882 - 1953 married Elsie Louise Wilson. They had eleven children.

2. Albert 1885 - 1949 married Edith Bridgeman. They had three children.

3. Herbert 1885 - 1959 married Alice Pye. They had six children.

4. Frederick 1887 - 1949 married Eliza Wakefield. They eight children.

5. Pearl 1890 -? married Neil Burks. They had five children.

6. Lila 1893 - ? married Isaac Bruce Wilson and Olave Aratham.

William Henry Wilson 1857 to 1861

William Henry was the eighth child of Simeon Wilson and Elizabeth Horan. He was born at Kurrajong, NSW in 1857 and died at the age of 4 in 1861.

Emma Eliza Wilson 1859 to 1946 married Charles Madden

Emma Eliza was the ninth child of Simeon Wilson and Elizabeth Horan. She was born in Kurrajong, NSW in 1859 and died in North Richmond, NSW in 1946. Emma married Charles William Napoleon Madden in 1876.

Emma and Charles had children.

1. Emma Jane 1877 - 1877.

2. Margaret Elizabeth 1877 - 1956 married James Blundell. They had four children.

3. Charles Alfred 1880 - 1946 married Caroline Martin. They had at least one child.

4. Walter 1884 - 1943 married Ethel Bottle. They had five children.

5. Priscilla 1889 - ? married ? Brien. Had at least one child.

6. Selina 1894 - ? married ? Peacey.

James Davis 1842 to 1928 married to Mary Ann Wilson

James Davis was the second son of Elizabeth Wilson and George Davis. He was born at Colo, NSW in 1842 and died in Kurrajong, NSW 1928. You can read his obituary here.

He married Mary Ann Wilson in 1871. Mary Ann was the first child of Simeon Wilson and Elizabeth Horan. She was born at Kurrajong in 1843 and died there in 1919.

James and Mary Ann had eleven children.

1. Amelia 1862 - 1863. Died as a baby.

3. Louisa 1867 - 1952 married Sydney Alfred Hearne. Louisa live in the house on the corner of Hermitage Road and Bells Line of Road. No children but did look after her brother's children. Louisa was incredibly well known in the Hawkesbury.

4. Henry 1869 - 1948 married Teresa Blundell. They had four children.

John WILSON JNR 1854 to 1899 married Margaret Hawkins and Ellen Hawkins

John Wilson Jnr was the first child of John Wilson and Catherine Barwick. He was born in Kurrajong in 1854 and died there from Typhoid in 1899. John was married twice, first to Margaret Jane Hawkins in 1878. Margaret died in 1882. 

John then married Margaret's sister, Ellen Matilda Hawkins in 1885. As John and Margaret already had two small daughters, Ellen took on the role of both aunt and stepmother. You can read John's obituary in this news article.

John and Margaret had two children.

1. Priscilla May (1880 - 1896). Died as a teenager.

2. Amelia Ann Christina (1882 - 1942). Known locally as Sis Packer. Amelia married Henry Packer at Kurrajong in 1900.

Amelia and Henry had 12 children.

1. Dorothy Linda May (1901 - ?) maried George Albert Horan.

2. Reginald Henry Lawrence (1902 - 1934) married Lily Hibbert.

3. Alphonsus Patrick (1904 - 1962) married Lillian Wade.

6. Harold Sidney (1910 - 1965) married Myrtle Jeffery. No children.

Elizabeth Giddins 1863 to 1935 married James Horan

Elizabeth Giddins was the tenth child of Harriett Barwick and William Giddins. She was born in Kurrajong in 1863 and died in Grose Vale in 1935. Elizabeth married James Horan in 1883. They had eleven children. James' obituary can be read here.
